Successful police operation in Havering sees arrests made and another large knife taken off our streets.

Well done to Police Sergeants Jane Collard, Richard Ruane and Ben Tanner who led another successful operation across North Havering. Havering Joint Task Force and North Havering Safer Neighbourhood Teams came together on Monday 9 of May to target criminals who use roads around North Havering to commit crime.

Officers set up various stopping sights and had marked vehicles patrolling using ANPR technology to perform proactive stops.

Three arrests were made for various offences including:

Possession of an offensive weapon (exceptionally large knife taken off the streets see picture below)

Theft of motor vehicle (stolen vehicle recovered black Focus)

Disqualified driving

Immigration offences

Domestic wanted offender.

Another male was postal charged to court for being in possession of class A drugs.

Various drivers processed for traffic offences.

A speed watch was also carried out at each site where several drivers will be receiving letters in the post in regards to speeding.
