Following the installation of the first bleed kit in Romford yesterday, Romford Town Centre Police Team A decided to all donate money from their own pocket and buy a second vital bleed kit.

Officers were present at the launch of the first bleed kit earlier in the day outside of MacDonald’s on South Street and heard bereaved mum Julie Taylor from the Liam Taylor Legacy talk about the importance of these life saving tools in our communities.

The officers and their Sergeant Sarah Wolfe and Sergeant Jane Collard from Collier Row, decided to donate money from their own pockets to buy a second bleed kit for the area.

The bleed kits come from the Daniel Baird Foundation and are life saving tools for gun shot wounds or stabbings .

Well done to these officers for their amazing dedication to our community. Thank you.
