Over 1100 trees planted in Belhus Woods over the weekend.
Over the weekend, the Havering Daily Trees for Havering campaign held two tree planting events at Belhus Woods country park, where teams of residents, young and old, came together to plant over 1100 new trees for Havering. The first event was held on Saturday where the team planted over 550 trees to create two wildlife corridors around the park/playing area.
At the second event on Sunday, the team was able to plant another 550 plus trees creating a brand new hedgerow.
Well done to everyone involved and a huge thank you to the Belhus Woods team and also to the Woodland Trust and The Conservation Volunteers for supplying the trees.
