East Area police have been running many excellent campaigns aimed at tackling violence against women and girls across all three boroughs. These schemes have included Walk & Talks, community engagements and now pop up stall across Havering yesterday.

The pop up stalls were in Havering Park, Petits, Mawney and Squirrels ward in some of the nearby parks and were run by female officers and aimed at women and girls. Officers chatted with local residents, handing out over 150 alarms, 100 torches and 150 safety leaflets to help women stay safe.

This was a fantastic community engagement programme that provided safety advice for women and girls. The public supported the scheme and were pleased to engage with officers.

Great work by East Area Police.
