Collier Row lady angry to discover parent waiting to collect their child parked inside her driveway.
A Collier Row resident was shocked to check her cctv camera last Friday and find a parent waiting to collect their child happily parked up in her drive way. The most shocking part being that locals living along Ayr Way in Rise Park are sadly very accustomed to not only having cars parked across their drive ways, but now having parents taking it upon themselves to park in people’s drive ways whilst waiting to collecting their children from school.
Mandie was so angered by this parent that she captured the picture of the offending vehicle and sent it to Rise Park Infant and Junior School to see if they knew who the culprit was.
She told the Havering Daily: “The school was shocked to see what the parent had done. They actually reversed up on to my drive and happily sat there and waited for their child to come out of school.
“Unfortunately we are very used to parents doing this here on this road. They park across our drives most days, they park across zig zag lines, they park across road markings. They literally just pull up and stop where they want.”
School parking has become an issue right across the borough with many locals living near schools complaining of parents that seem to selfishly and carelessly park anyway they wish causing endless problems for locals and heavy traffic congestion in the nearby area.
Mandie finished by saying: “Actually on one occasion I had builders here and my front door was open. A parent came up on my drive and actually came in my house to use the toilet! That is how crazy this situation is.”
