Bedrock Radio reveal their most requested songs of 2021.

Bedrock Radio, the Community Hospital Radio station broadcasting to patients of Queen’s (Romford), King George & Goodmayes (Ilford) Hospitals, plus the local community online has complied it’s annual chart of ‘Most Requested’ songs and artists made by their listeners throughout 2021.
Volunteers of Bedrock Radio who regularly collect song requests from the hospitals have had another challenging year due to Covid, and as a result their teams haven’t been able to visit all the wards and departments they usually would.

However, the areas they have been allowed to visit have been done so in a COVID safe way, with Bedrock Radio receiving fantastic feedback from patients and staff alike.

Over the last year, Bedrock Radio have also been encouraging patients and listeners across the community to submit requests and dedications via the Bedrock Radio App, where you can send the studio a message for free, or record a short voice message to make your dedication even more personal.

Volunteer Chris Deighton who compiles and presents the most requested chart show said: “The 2021 chart is a real reflection of what patients tell us they want to hear! unusually this year some artists have featured multiple times which doesn’t happen often. The whole team is pleased to be providing this service across our local hospitals & the wider community to help keep people company this festive season and throughout the year” .
