Special celebrations were held at the Mim Pharmacy on North Street in Romford on Friday 29th of October. Pharmacist Tariq Mahmood celebrated his 35th anniversary as a pharmacist serving the Romford public.
Tariq is a very well respected member of the community who also helps with the Collier Row foodbank and is the Vice Chair of Havering Islamic Cultural Centre and Vice Chair of the Havering Inter Faith Forum.
Friday saw some very special guest attend the pharmacy celebrations including Havering’s Mayor Councillor John Mylod and Havering’s Deputy Lieutenant Nick Bracken.
Tariq told the Havering Daily:
“ I am very happy to have reached this 35th anniversary of proudly and happily providing pharmaceutical and healthcare services. I specialise in stop smoking support, ear wax removal, weight management, travel vaccinations, malaria prevention treatments, cholesterol tests, diabetes tests, contraception services to young ladies to prevent teenage pregnancies, Anticoagulation service and warfarin dose monitoring. I have loved helping people everyday of working since 1986 in Romford. I am determined to continue serving people with a smile and make healthcare easily accessible to all”
