Romford remembers those who perished.
Havering dignitaries paid their respects to all the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack outside of Romford Town Hall on Saturday. Romford MP Andrew Rosindell joined Havering’s Leader of the Council, Councillor Damian White, GLA member Keith Prince and Havering’s Mayor Councillor John Mylod in the raising of the American flag, to pay respect to all those who lost their lives on that terrible day.
Mr Rosindell said:
“Romford remembers all those who perished, twenty years ago this day, in the atrocities of 11 September 2001. Proud to raise the Stars and Stripes and lay red, white and blue flowers this morning on the 9/11 memorial at the Town Hall as Romford’s M.P. to honour those who lost their lives that tragic day. May their souls rest in peace and that we who remain find the courage to fight such evil and make our world better for all humanity.”
