Police car chase as car fails to stop and crashes into tree.

A police car chase took place yesterday evening after a VW Golf failed to stop for the police and decided to try and out drive them, resulting in them crashing into a tree and all three passengers arrested.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“At 19:45hrs on Thursday, 29 July, officers on routine patrol attempted to stop a silver Volkswagen Golf in Forest Road, Romford.

“The Golf failed to stop and made off from police.

“At 19:53hrs, following a pursuit, the Golf made contact with another vehicle in Pettits Lane, causing minor damage, before colliding with a tree.The three occupants, two men and a woman, were not injured.

“All three were arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
