The Ship community cafe in Rainham is hosting a community feel good day at St Helen’s church this Sunday August 1st.
The staff at the community cafe are hosting the event alongside members of St Helen’s church in Rainham and Havering Changing.
The Ship is probably the most welcoming cafe you can find in the borough, with the lovely staff not only providing its customers with the most amazing food you can wish for, but also the chance to sit and chat to their customers and provide a much needed ear for locals to come and share their troubles.
The community event is being run with the help of Havering Changing and will see a special bbq, craft stalls, a steel band, plenty of children’s games, knitting work shops and even a Hope Tree where locals can come and leave a dedication and the community will come and pray together for their loved ones.
Havering Changing Project Director James Jackson told the Havering Daily:
“Havering Changing are proud to support The Ship’s Feel Good Community Day. Our Steering Group, the Rainham Creativity Squad are passionate about creating exciting arts and culture opportunities that everyone can experience. This will be the first event of Havering Changing’s Big Summer of Outdoor Arts and I couldn’t think of a better activity to launch this amazing community led programme.”
