East London man charged with attempted murder following Hornchurch stabbing.

A man from east London appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday 30th of June charged with attempted murder following the stabbing of a woman in Hornchurch last week.

Robin Faroque – 27 (04.05.94) of Brock Place, E3 appeared at the Old Bailey charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody and will appear at the same court on Wednesday, 28 July.

Faroque was arrested following the incident at a car park in Billet Lane, Hornchurch on Monday, 28 June.

A 28-year-old woman was found suffering knife injuries. She was taken to hospital for treatment where she remains; her condition is not life threatening.

Detectives from the East Area Command Unit are investigating.
