Well done to Friends of Park Lane Park and in particular Lisa Hardy for organising an amazing community project.

Thanks to Lisa, local Councillors Ciaran White and Christine Smith, students from Barking and Dagenham College and Havering Council, their park is being transformed.

During the last few weeks Construction and Carpentry students have been building a much needed path in the Park Lane Park and transforming this family friendly area for locals.

The idea came from Lisa Hardy, who has worked closely with her local councillors and Havering Council officers to help renovate her park.

Students from Barking and Dagenham College have been at the park building a path as part of their course and working alongside the community.

College tutor and Project Manager for Construction Paul Archenoul told the Havering Daily:

“This is not only an opportunity to learn skills but work experience gives a real taste for what a career in construction is like. We hope to see many more young people in Barking and Dagenham benefiting from these courses”.

Well done to all involved, this is a fantastic community project.
