Community coffee morning held at The Ship cafe.

Yesterday saw the first community coffee morning take place at The Ship cafe in Rainham Village. The Christian cafe is the heart of the local community and its staff are the most welcoming and friendly people you could ever meet.

The cafe is well known across Havering for not only having fantastic five star rating food, especially Marilyn’s cakes, but also the warmest and kindest hospitality where you are literally welcomed inside with open arms.

The coffee morning is taking place every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm, everyone is welcome and all the staff ask for are donations.

The most delicious cakes home made by volunteer Marilyn are available along with Alf’s very special cup of tea. So if you are looking to join a friendly coffee morning in the area, this is definitely the place to go.

The cafe was busy from the moment its doors were open, the tea was being poured and the slices of cake were freely handed out as locals sat and chatted.

Staff made sure everyone had a piece of cake and most importantly a smile on their face.
