Police search for girl aged 11 who robbed a phone from a woman.

Police were called to the London Road, Chadwell Heath yesterday after a woman had her phone stolen by a suspect described as a girl aged 11 or 12 years old.

The incident happened at 5.30pm as the girl is believed to have approached the victim pretending to need a phone to use and then robbing the phone and running off with it.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily;

“Shortly before 17:30hrs on Monday, 17 May, police received a report of a phone theft in London Road, Chadwell Heath.

“The victim described being approached in the street by a girl, aged approximately 11 to 12, who asked to use her phone. When the victim passed the phone to the girl, she ran off with it.

“Officers attended but the girl could not be found.”
