Two horses have sadly died this morning following a fire at a stable in Hall Lane, Upminster. The fire started just before five his morning at Strawberry Farm stables.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to the Upminster fire. A single storey stable block was destroyed by the blaze. One horse was led to safety by a member of staff before the arrival of the Brigade. Two horses sadly died at the scene. 

The Brigade was called at 04:39 and the fire was under control by 05:46. Fire crews from Harold Hill, Hornchurch, Romford and Dagenham fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

    L .hope the dirty baskets that stated the fire and killed them poor horse rot in hell
