Mawney Road incident last night.

Residents in Mawney Road were shocked to see what is believed to be a hit and run incident just after 9 pm last night.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a car smash into another vehicle, with one male running from the vehicle, leaving a female passenger inside having to be removed by firefighters.

Locals living along Mawney Road came out of their houses to see a car on its roof and parts of another vehicle laying across the middle of the road.

We await further information from the police.
