Met and BTP Officers combine forces to search for male with knife in Upminster station.

A large police presence was seen outside Upminster train station last night following reports of a man with a knife being seen in the station.

Met officers combined forces with British Transport Police and the police helicopter to look for the man who is believed to have run off from police.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 18:21hrs on Wednesday, 9 December to Upminster Station following reports of a man believed to be in possession of a knife.

“Officers from the Met, BTP and the National Police Air Service remain in attendance.

“There are no reported injuries.”

No arrests and enquiries continue.
