Back Our Bobbies: Borough Commander Commendations for brave officers.
On the 5th of November a commendation ceremony was held at Romford Police station. Borough Commander Stephen Clayman handed out awards at a low key and socially distanced event due to the Covid restrictions.
The event celebrated a number of brave,courageous and professional acts by police officers across the whole of East Area. The ceremony was also an opportunity to consider the dedication, commitment, leadership and selfless acts the officers in East Area Command Unit do.
PC Jomarie Bio attached to the Mi Investigation Support Team at Redbridge was commended for his Professionalism, dedication to duty and compassion for assisting in saving a victim’s life and providing comfort to the family under difficult circumstances.

Police Sergeant Alex Norrington was commended for demonstrating exemplary leadership which lead to the apprehension of a violent offender and successful outcome, during a very challenging incident.

PC Stacey Laslett was commended for Professionalism, bravery, life saving attempts and victim care during a very distressing incident.

PC Vicki Dyer commended for dedication, commitment and going above and beyond expectations throughout the duration of the 2019 MPS Christmas Tree Appeal. Vicki also collected a letter of thanks for her parents.

PC Debbie Hines was commended for dedication, commitment, and going above and beyond expectations throughout the duration of the 2019 MPS Christmas Tree Appeal.
Freddy and Bobby her two children were also presented with a letter of thanks for their assistance with the appeal.

A team was commended for professionalism, diligence, team work and commitment for providing CPR to a collapsed male.
A team presentation was also given to PC Birch, PC Cosovanu, PC Kaur who came to the aid of a male who had collapsed in the street.

Well done to all the officers for their bravery and the amazing work they do everyday!
