Armed Forces Day was celebrated on Saturday in Elm Park. Councillors Stephanie Nunn and Barry Mugglestone were present at the ceremony where the flag was raised by John Watson the Deputy Chairperson of the Royal British Legion.

Councillor Nunn told the Havering Daily: “In the current situation in both the UK and worldwide our armed forces are serving their country, it is important that we let them know we appreciate the excellent work they do keeping us safe.

“Elm Park is not the largest Royal British Legion branch in Havering, but we always do our very best to show respect to our serving armed forces and thank them for what they do for us.”
