Thousands get tested at council car park.
Thousands of people were tested last Thursday and Friday at the London Borough of Havering town hall car park.
The two-day testing was run by the army with the full support of Havering council. On Friday morning 950 of the 1000 car parking spaces had already been booked.
Many Havering Care homes took the opportunity to use the facilities and have their patients tested.
Havering’s Leader of the Council Councillor Damian White told the Havering Daily: “It was really positive to see the army work alongside the Government to be able to help the local community.”
