Councillor and GLA representative volunteer at local foodbank.

Elm Park ward Councillor Sally Miller and Havering and Redbridge GLA representative Keith Prince have been volunteering at the Rainham foodbank.

Councillor Miller and Mr Prince wanted to help their local community during these challenging times and contacted the volunteer centre who informed them that the Rainham food bank was in need of help.

Councillor Miller told the Havering Daily:I had been doing shopping for local residents in my area but wanted to help out somewhere on a regular basis. We were told that the Rainham Foodbank needed help so we volunteered there.”

The pair have been helping there on a regular basis to help the staff out during the lock down period.

Mr Prince told the Havering Daily:”This clearly is a very difficult time for people. It’s been my privilege to give up my time to help those under pressure. It is a small contribution but all that combined makes a much bigger effort.”

Well done to both of you!
