Kenenisa Bekele may have set a new course record as he claimed victory at The Vitality Big Half 2020 on Sunday 01st March, but breaking records of their own, Havering 90 Joggers has an incredible 43 runners participate, many supporting Manorfield Primary School, including;

Ron Dobie, Elaine Richardson, Richard Cossey, Carol Nelson, Jennifer Hunt, Anbarasu Govindasamy, Brian Slade, Laura Kelly, Trish Groves, Kerry Curtis, Lisa Gaskin, Charlotte Jeffs, Henry Monaghan, Lucy Burdett, Maggie Score, Katy Lennon, Josy Hughes, Louise Pollock, Andrea Wright, Kim Parker, Sue Campbell, Melissa Burke, Joyce Tan, Esther Hetterley, Christine Fry, Melissa Burke, Tina Maynard and Thomas Manning.
James Blogg led the group setting a PB at 1:21 and David Bacon a PB at 1:49, Grace Kelly, Josy Hughes and Trish Groves also set personal bests and among the debutants, Charlotte Jeffs and Tom Manning ran great races. A super day out for the family saw Guy and Jack Hildreth, and Caroline Cross, with three generations of her family, complete the Vitality Little Half.
On a busy weekend, we also saw 7 H90Jogger participate in the Essex Championship, a tough 20 mile road race, completed in record time by Sue Spong who won her category and Denis Mole who came second in his category – total legends, with great running again from Darren Radford, Bruce Mail, Christina Clementson, Stephanie Phillips and Joanne Reeves
This leap year’s saw an additional parkrun on the calendar – and as the chance to run on 29 February won’t arise for another 48 years, there were plenty Joggers up for the challenge, with 51 runners on the three local courses, and Caroline Wilson getting a PB.
Coach, Dave Sherman, swapped his running shoes for a bike and completed the Kentish Killer, a 65mile hilly ride.

The running club meets twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Abbs Cross Sport Hall, 7:00pm for a 7:30 start and caters for all abilities, from Learn to Run to seasoned runners. You are more than welcome to come and join this inclusive and very supportive running group. h90j.org.uk
