Volunteer members of ‘Take A Knife Save A Life’ attended their first Emergency First Aid at work course on Sunday.

The course was run by husband and wife Paul and Janette Cutting who gave up their free time to teach the local group emergency first aid to use out on the streets of Havering if needed in an emergency situation.

The course was donated by AlphaOne 3 to help teach the charity group this important service.

It was attended by volunteers and two area co-ordinators Robert Dean and Dave Kirk.

Volunteer Sue Elliott told the Havering DailyI wasn’t very knowledgeable on first aid but by the end of the course, I had learnt so much from Paul that he has given me the confidence to confront incidents that may come my way. Thank you, Paul, for giving up your time to help us.

Shaheen Pratten and Lorraine Felix said “It is a real privilege to be part of doing something good for the community as volunteers of Taksal. We have met some amazing people and made great friends.

The first aid course was fantastic, we both learned so much and feel so much more confident now.”
