BREAKING: Police officer tackles youth brandishing a knife outside Asda.

Shoppers in Romford were horrified to see a youth outside Asda waving a knife about.

The shocking event happened around half past twelve as people headed out to do their shopping or get some lunch.

Witnesses report seeing a youth outside the supermarket with a knife in his hand and a hero police officer rugby tackle him to the ground getting the knife off him.

A passerby told the Havering Daily:

“I saw a police officer rugby tackle a black male, around 17 to 18 years old. He was taken down outside by the railings where a knife was taken off him and he was then arrested and taken away.“
