Raw sewage overflowing in Brooklands Walk.
The council are asking people to avoid Brooklands Walk, RM1 off North Street if possible as due to the heavy rain raw sewage is overflowing from the drains.
Thames Water has been contacted and the council are waiting for them to come and resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
Please be careful if you have to walk through that area.

This is not a unique situation, it happens every time there is heavy rain; the raw sewage then flows into the River Rom. The drain needs some investigation and repair.
