BREAKING: Mother and child hit in horrific traffic collision.

The end of Crow Lane at the Junction with Whalebone Lane South is currently closed due to a horrific road traffic incident involving a mother and child.

It is believed that a car travelling at speed has come over the bridge and hit a mother crossing the road with her child in a pram. It is believed the impact of the car hit the mother with such a force that the she flew into the air and landed on the railway tracks.

The trains have currently been stopped and the mother is being treated on scene.

The baby is believed to have been taken to hospital.

The roads are closed and trains along those lines have currently been cancelled.
