Following our article last week on a group of dog walkers from St Andrew’s park in Hornchurch calling for a ban of fireworks allowing their use only in public displays, the Havering Daily launched a poll to ask our readers their views on this.

The poll’s top result clearly shows that the majority of you who voted agree with our team of dog walkers that fireworks should only be allowed in public displays.

Here are the results:

Only organised public displays should be allowed – 47.19%

Fireworks at anytime of the year is fine – 19.48%

Fireworks should only be allowed on certain days of the year – 18.61%

We should use silent fireworks only – 10.39%

Ban the use of fireworks all together – 4.33%
