Yesterday the 26th of October was ‘Essex Day’

On Friday morning the Essex flag was raised outside Romford Town by the Deputy Mayor Councillor John Mylod.

Also present was the Romford MP Mr Andrew Rosindell. He told the Havering Daily:

“Wonderful to see the flag of Essex proudly flying from our Town Hall in Romford. First time in the history of Havering to celebrate “Essex Day” on 26th October and to acknowledge that Havering remains, to this day, a part of the County of Essex! #Essex” 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

How to proud it is to see the great flag of the County of Essex flying above the Havering Town Hall. It is absolutely right that we should be proud of our great English County and celebrate our cherished county heritage too. Shame we can’t say the same about those who ‘run’ the Havering Council. What is more noticeable in the articles, is the lack of comments from the Council Leader, Mr White, but then, maybe he’s said too much already? Perhaps, by keeping quiet, Mr White is hoping the Gerrymandering scandal will blow over. Not if some people can help it.
