Swanky new wine bar to open in November.

A new swanky wine and cocktail bar is set to open its doors in Collier Row this November.

The RM5 Lounge is the first bar of its kind in the area and is being set up by John Beard, a local man who felt that the area needed a bar like this.

The new RM5 Lounge in Collier Row.

John told the Havering Daily:

This bar is the first of many to come, I am a local resident and I have worked in London for over twenty five years in the advertising field and I truly believe there is a need for a bar like this in our area.

People here have nowhere to go, it costs too much for some to get to Hornchurch and others don’t necessarily want to go into Romford for a drink. So a bar like this is what Collier Row needs.

It will be different from a pub, I will have a strict door policy no hoodies or sports tops. I will be running date nights and it will be available to hire for events. It is an over 21 wine bar.

During the day I am encouraging locals to come and do their work here, we will have coffee available and free wi fi for people to use.”

So far the project has been extremely successful getting the full support of locals in the area who are very much looking forward to its opening.

“I have been inundated with people supporting us including our local MP Andrew Rosindell and local councillors.

This has always been a dream of mine so I look forward to the opening in November”.
