‘We try and create a cohesion in Havering, to make everyone feel welcome’.

The Havering BME forum held the annual ‘Community Cultural Celebration’ last week in Romford.

Havering’s Chair of the BME Forum Felicia Borshorin told the Havering Daily:

Every year we celebrate the amazing cultural diversity we have here in Havering. We had everything from African drummers to a young man playing the piano.

The London African Drummers with Havering’s Mayor Cllr Deon Burton.

The London African drummers announced the arrival of the Mayor for us and we had the Romford MP Andrew Rosindell there too.

Black history month information.

We try to create a cohesion in Havering, to make everyone feel welcome. Often people don’t like each other because they don’t know each other. Our aim is to bring people together, respect each other and learn from each other.

We had lots of different cultural food and the whole event was an amazing success.’
