Lesley Crisp, Chief officer of CAB, told the Havering Daily, ‘We are proud to have been in the borough for 80 years. It’s is all about residents helping each other, giving advice and information, making sure they are aware of their rights.
‘We are a free service so where else can you go to get free advice and help, we are a vital help to the community.
‘We are a local charity and we get a small amount of funding from the council but the rest we have to fund raise ourselves.’
Havering’s Voluntary Champion Councillor Christine Vickery told the Havering Daily, ‘I am very proud to be here today as the borough’s voluntary champion. The Citizen’s Advice Bureau play an important role in our community in helping so many people with vital advice and information.’
