This year’s Notting Hill Carnival was marred by tragic deaths and numerous incidents. A retired police Detective Inspector criticized the policing methods, raising concerns about violence, sexual assaults, and drug abuse. The event witnessed a large number of arrests, stop and search operations, and positive interactions between officers and the public. Despite the challenges, the police demonstrated compassion, courage, and professionalism.
