A Sixteen birthday party went horribly wrong when a gang of youths believed to be from Harold Hill entered the venue armed with weapons. The event was supposed to have security but it was believed none was actually present allowing a gang of between 50-60 youths enter the premises.

On Sunday 9 March, Sue Hedges from the Ricky Hayden Memorial donated a Daniel Baird bleed bag to the Deers Rest Pub. Sue, who lost her son Ricky to knife crime in 2016, has been donating vital life saving bleed kits to many organisations across Havering, London and parts of Essex in a bid to save as many lives as she can.
