Investigation under way after school and nearby buildings evacuated in South Hornchurch following threat of suspicious package being left.

Newtons School on Lowen Road, was evacuated and pupils taken to the nearby Mardyke Community centre, whilst officers carried out a full search of the school. This came in response to a threatening message left to the school.
