National Chairman of the Conservative Party Launches Romford Conservatives’ Local Election Campaign.
The Conservative Party’s Chairman, Kevin Hollinrake MP, visited Romford Conservatives last night to officially launch the party’s local election campaign in Havering.
During his visit, Hollinrake met with local members, activists, and candidates, setting out the party’s priorities for the upcoming elections and energising volunteers ahead of the campaign. He praised the dedication of local campaigners and highlighted the importance of strong community representation.
Local Conservatives are continuing to stand up for residents. The Chairman endorsed the local Conservatives’ plan to:
• Cut council waste to provide better value for money
• Back our police and keep Havering Safe
• Stand up for drivers
• Protect our green spaces
• Clean up Havering
• Save the Freedom Pass, Oyster Card, cheap travel, and London weighted salaries from Reform’s plan to leave London
Speaking at the launch, Hollinrake said:
“I am proud to stand with residents here in Romford, championing local priorities and delivering on the issues that matter most—from safer streets to better services. It is great to see our local team is working tirelessly, and I’m delighted to be here to support them as we kick off this campaign.”
Chairman of the Romford Conservative Association, Dominic Swan, welcomed the Party Chairman saying “We have rebuilt a strong team under the new leadership of Kemi Badenoch. Our Conservative values have not changed… supporting aspiration, championing a small state, low taxation and good services, rewarding hard work, backing business. We are the only party who will put values and residents at the heart of decision making.”
Leader of the Conservative Group, Cllr Michael White, echoed the Chairman and said:
“Our team is out and about in the community. We are sticking by the Conservatives because we know we can deliver a positive plan from Havering. We will keep the Freedom Pass safe. We will stand up for motorists. We will restore pride in the place we all love to live, work, and support. I am proud to lead this united team into the local elections.”
The visit coincided with the national campaign launch by Conservative Party Leader Kemi Badenoch.

She outlined how the Conservative Party has done their homework to get Britain working again. Cutting the spiralling welfare bill and sorting out immigration costs as an integral part of the Conservatives’ savings plan would enable tax cuts to unleash Britain’s growth.
The local elections in Havering are set to take place on Thursday 7th May.
