Following the recent resurfacing of Frederick Road, Beam Park Councillors Trevor Mckeever and Matt Stanton acted on residents concerns at the condition of the footpaths in their part of Frederick Road and asked to meet an officer from Havering’s Highways department on site, which took place on Monday 16th February.

“What might seem innocuous to one person could be a hazard to an older person or a person with a disability, so we were keen to impress on the officer that residents had contacted us about certain areas,” said Cllr Mckeever. “However, the inspection covered both sides of the section of the road in Beam Park, and we’re pleased that several places have been marked out for attention”

Residents who have concerns about specific areas can ask for an inspection to be carried out by reporting them at https://www.havering.gov.uk/roads/damaged-roads-pavements
