Latest Photos of the Works at Gallows Corner.
Works at the Gallows Corner junction are continuing with the flyover now looking closer to completion, with much of the main structural work visibly finished, giving motorists and residents the clearest indication yet of how the rebuilt junction will look.
Last week, contractors continued with essential finishing works, including utility installations, safety elements and preparation work needed before any phased reopening can take place. A significant part of the programme remains focused on coordination with Essex and Suffolk Water, whose water main diversion works have previously delayed progress.
Transport for London has again stressed that the Gallows Corner works will be completed by spring this year, despite continued frustration from residents and businesses over the lack of firm reopening dates.
Havering Council and Greater London Assembly Member for Havering Keith Prince has said it will continue pressing TfL and partner organisations for clearer timelines and greater certainty, as concerns remain over congestion, air quality and the long-term impact on local trade.
