Caught and Charged: Suspects in Lavender Thai Therapy Attack Face Court.
Two men have now been charged and remanded in custody following a series of robberies and an assault that included the shocking attack at Lavender Thai Therapy in Elm Park recently.
On Thursday 8 January, both men appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.
Paul Jones, 47, of Wanderer Drive, Barking, was charged with four counts of robbery and one count of attempted theft.
Anthony Fitton, 46, of London Road, Barking, was charged with three counts of robbery and one count of attempted theft.
The pair have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday 4 February.
The charges relate to a robbery and assault at a business in Elm Park on Saturday 3 January. They also relate to two further burglary offences in Dagenham and Rainham on Sunday 4 January and Monday 5 January.
Both men were arrested in Upminster on Tuesday 6 January following swift police action.
