Owned by Karen, the granddaughter of Romford’s much-loved and famous florist Nellie Sims, Storky’s carries forward a family legacy that is deeply rooted in the town. Nellie Sims was a household name in Romford and today Karen is very much a living Romford legend in her own right, passionately championing local shopping, Romford Market and the town she loves.

Storky’s began life as a market stall, quickly becoming well known for its beautiful children’s clothing and friendly, personal service. The stall was hugely popular with local families, and its success naturally led Karen to take the next step. Determined to stay loyal to Romford, she opened a permanent shop in the Mercury, creating what is now one of the centre’s most loved independent stores.

The name Storky itself is an incredible 89 years old and carries with it decades of history, trust and affection from generations of families. Walk through the doors and it becomes immediately clear why the shop has such a loyal following. From babywear to children’s clothing and accessories, the range is carefully curated, stylish and refreshingly different.

Karen has an exceptional eye for quality and detail, constantly sourcing new and unique pieces for her customers. Most of the stock is sourced from the UK, with additional collections coming from Spain, Portugal and Turkey, ensuring a beautiful mix of quality, style and value.
