Havering Police Team Up with West Ham Foundation for Festive Football Fun.
Havering Police have partnered with the West Ham Foundation to host a special festive session of United in Football this December. The free tournament will take place at the Power League on the A12 on 22 December, offering local young people a chance to enjoy the beautiful game in a safe and fun environment.
This event is another example of the fantastic work Havering Police do with our youth. Regularly hosting initiatives like these, the police provide meaningful community projects that give young people opportunities to get involved, build confidence, and strengthen ties within the borough.
Chief Inspector Routley told the Havering Daily:
“This tournament is another fantastic step forward for United in Football and Basketball, our youth-diversion initiative developed under “Our Harold Hill – Clear Hold Build”. Over the past two years, we’ve seen the project grow from a small community offer into a genuinely impactful programme that gives young people safe, positive spaces and real opportunities to thrive. None of this would have been possible without the support of Havering Council, who have secured the vital funding that keeps this work moving forward, and the Havering HAF programme, who have been instrumental in helping us expand and sustain United in Football and Basketball.
“It’s brilliant to now also be working alongside the West Ham Foundation, whose partnership enables us to reach even more young people and strengthen our shared commitment to reducing youth-related crime and anti-social behaviour across Havering.”
