A quiet residential street in Elm Park erupted into chaos on Saturday night when a house party spiralled out of control, leaving a 16-year-old boy stabbed and multiple emergency services rushing to the scene.

Witnesses said hordes of teenagers flooded Fernbank Avenue shortly before police and ambulance crews arrived just after 11pm, as panicked partygoers spilled into the street and neighbours feared the worst.

Police were called just after 11pm, alongside London Ambulance to reports of a stabbing.

A Met Police spokesperson said:

“Police were called at around 23:15hrs on Saturday, 6 December to reports of a stabbing in Ferbank Avenue, Hornchurch.

Officers attended the incident alongside the London Ambulance Service where a 16-year-old boy was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers also assisted the LAS in relation to a medical incident, which at this time is not believed to be linked to the stabbing. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest there was any drug involvement.

An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. An increased police presence can be expected in the area.

Anyone who has any information on this investigation asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 7709/06Dec or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
