YMCA Annual Christmas Charity Concert To Take Place In Romford.
The YMCA Orchestra is bringing festive cheer to Romford with its annual Christmas Charity Concerton Sunday 7 December at 4.30pm at Romford United Reformed Church. The family-friendly event features seasonal favourites, Christmas carols and classics from ABBA to The Snowman, plus interval tea, cakes and a festive raffle.
All proceeds support the YMCA Cancer Rehabilitation Programme, which helps local people rebuild strength and confidence after cancer treatment.
Founded after WWII and now the only YMCA Orchestra in the world, the community ensemble brings together around 30 musicians aged 16 to 90. Conductor Karen Tweddle, who has led the group since 2014, says new players are always welcome.
Tickets cost £8 for adults and £4 for children (cash only) and can be booked via Alexandra on 07941 008278 or purchased on the door.
