By Jasper Searles – Junior Sports Reporter
Sport Report W/C 22nd November 2025
Hello, it’s Jasper, Junior Sports Reporter for The Havering Daily. I welcome you to my latest look at this week’s football.
Please read on to find out about Hornchurch FC and the latest from the Premier League. I have also added the Champions League results for the teams that are in it.
Thank you, Havering.
22nd November
Hornchurch FC
Hornchurch 1 – 1 AFC Totton
(goalscorers: Hornchurch – H. Hearn: AFC Totton – J Oastler)
Hornchurch failed to win, but Weston-Super-Mare lost to Dover Athletic on Saturday. On Tuesday, Weston-Super-Mare won their game in hand and now sit only 1 point behind, at the top of the table. The title race is ON!

Premier League Round-Up
Burnley 0 – 2 Chelsea (UCL 3-0 win v Barcelona)
(goalscorers: J Gittens, Marc Guiu)
Chelsea, WOW! A 2-0 win against Burnley was good but expected; however, they beat Barcelona 3-0! Estevao is showing Lamine Yamal whose boss – too far in my opinion.
AFC Bournemouth 2 – 2 West Ham United
(goalscorers: Bournemouth – M Tavernier, E Unal: West Ham – C Wilson x 2)
Callum, does Tyneside miss you? Nah, Nick Woltamade 10x better. A great performance, however. Wilson might have just about made for that time he stole Bowen’s shot (and missed).
Brighton & Hove Albion 2 – 1 Brentford
(goalscorers: Brighton – D Welbeck, J Hinshelwood: Brentford – Igor Thiago)
Welbeck scores again, Igor Thiago scores again, but in the end, a late winner from Hinshelwood seals a victory for the Seagulls.
Fulham 1 – 0 Sunderland
(goalscorers: R Jimenez)
Beating Fulham isn’t for everyone by the looks of it. A late Jimenez winner gives a win to the Cottagers.
Liverpool (UCL 1-4 defeat v PSV) 0 – 3 Nottingham Forest
(goalscorers: Murillo, N Savona, M Gibbs-White)
Sean Dyche has found stability at Forest, Liverpool lost to a team that were in the relegation zone.
Deary me, Slot.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 – 2 Crystal Palace
(goalscorers: D Munoz, Yeremy Pino)
Two goals just after the half-time for Palace. Rob Edwards fails to win his first game in charge, as Wolves stay bottom 9 points – below 17th placed West Ham!
Newcastle United (UCL 2-1 defeat v Marseilles) 2 – 1 Manchester City (UCL 0-2 Loss v Leverkusen)
(goalscorers : Newcastle – H. Barnes x 2 : Man City – Ruben Diaz)
Both teams lost in the UCL in midweek, but in the Premier League, Newcastle were victorious. Haaland was owned by Malick Thiaw. Newcastle pick up a win after a run of poor form – Eddie Howe critics have disappeared.
23rd November
Leeds United 1 – 2 Aston Villa
(goalscorers: Leeds – L Nmecha: Aston Villa Rogers x 2)
Nmecha scored an extremely early goal for Leeds, Rogers ended up scoring 2 so another defeat takes Leeds into the relegation zone.
Arsenal (UCL 3-1 Win v Bayern Munich) 4 – 1 Tottenham Hotspur (UCL 5-3 Loss v PSG)
(goalscorers : Arsenal – L Trossard, E Eze x 3 : Spurs – Richarlison)
Just before half-time, Arsenal scored their first and second goal, Eze ended up scoring a hat-trick. For Spurs, Richarlison, scored the only goal for Spurs on a disappointing day, which was a belter!
24th November
Manchester United 0 – 1 Everton
(goalscorers: K Dewsbury-Hall)
13 minutes into the game, Everton got a red card, when Gueye clashed with his Everton teammates. Goalkeeper Pickford tried stopping it, but it was to late. Everton then scored, and Man United dominated, but it ended 1-0 to the Toffees.
