Sport Report 8th-10th November 2025

Hello, it’s Jasper, Junior Sports Report for The Havering Daily, and I welcome you to another article, where I look at this week’s football.

I would like us to think about the soldiers who fought for us, as it’s Remembrance week, and on the 11th of November, it was Remembrance Day.

Please read on to find out about Hornchurch and the latest from the Premier League.

Thank you, Havering.

Hornchurch FC

8th November

Hornchurch 1 – 0 Tonbridge Angels (goalscorer:  Hearn)

Hornchurch win again, Hearn scores again, after a goalless first half.

10th November:

Hornchurch 0 – 2 Chelmsford City (goalscorers: J. Adigun L. Taylor)

A first loss for Hornchurch. Two early goals for Chelmsford make the Hornchurch team, with a one-day break, far worse than usual. The Urchins remain Top of the League.

Premier League Round-Up

8th November:

Tottenham Hotspur 2 – 2 Manchester United (goalscorers: Spurs – M. Tel, Richarlison : Manchester United – B.Mbeumo , M. de Ligt)

LATE DRAMA! Okay, it was dramatic, not “Troy… DEENY” Levels, but very exciting!

M.Tel equalised for Spurs in the 84th minute before Richarlison then scored in the 91st, after heading in an Odobert shot, before taking his he took his shirt off, to give Spurs the lead. Then de Ligt scored in the 96th to equalise, similarly what happened with Jota (RIP) v Spurs, if you know you know.

Everton 2 – 0 Fulham (goalscorers: Gueye, M. Keane)

Everton put the Tottenham game behind them as they won against Fulham.

Veteran Micheal Keane will be delighted to be on the scoresheet.

West Ham United 3 – 2 Burnley (goalscorers: West Ham – C. Wilson, T. Soucek and K. Walker-Peters : Burnley Z. Flemming J. Cullen)

West Ham now has back-to-back wins. Nuno has figured out the tactics, the sub decisions, and that, which have been perfect for the past 3 games, unlike Eddie Howe’s decisions!

Sunderland 2 – 2 Arsenal (goalscorers: Sunderland – D. Balard and  B. Brobbey : Arsenal-  B. Saka and L.Trossard

Sunderland’s season is a success. Brobbey scores an acrobatic kick in the last minute.Granted, they did spend loads for a newly promoted team, and FFP didn’t care, because FFP would’ve killed Newcastle if they spent half as much, but hey, what a win.

Chelsea 3 – 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers (goalscorers: Gusto, Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto)

First things first, just to clarify Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto are different players. Anyway, Wolves stay winless; their new manager will be Rob Edwards, from Middlesbrough. Big Job Ahead.

9th November:

Aston Villa 4 – 0 AFC Bournemouth (goalscorers: E. Buendia A. Onana R. Barkley D.Malen)

Massive win for Villa over high-flying Bournemouth. Villa proving Villa Park is a tricky place to go and win.

Brentford 3 – 1 Newcastle United (goalscorers : Brentford – K. Schade Igor Thiago 2x : Newcastle – H. Barnes)

Great from a Brentford point of view and a massive win for Newcastle United, things get worse. Eddie Howe subbed the only goal scorer (Barnes) off.  Igor Thiago continues his goalscoring form. Keith Andrews shows why he’s a top coach.

Crystal Palace 0 – 0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Yeah, we might have to end it there.

Nottingham Forest 3 – 1 Leeds United (goalscorers: Forest – I. Sangare, Gibbs-White, and E. Anderson : Leeds United – L. Nmecha)

Leeds fans question Daniel Farke’s job after another loss. There is no clear replacement.

Manchester City 3 – 0 Liverpool (goalscorers: E. Haaland, Nico Gonzalez, and J. Doku)

Liverpool’s inconsistency continues, Haaland’s goal record continues, and Man City fans talking about Doku’s performance continues.

Thank you for reading, and let’s see how long until Wolverhampton Wanderers win a game of football (in the Premier League).

It is an international break, so see you in a couple of weeks. Anyway, England has already qualified.

That’s all for this week’s football round-up — see you soon for more results, highlights, and stories from the world of football!
