Communities across Havering will come together this weekend to mark Remembrance Sunday with a series of parades and services.

Mayor of Havering, Councillor Sue Ospreay, said:
“We welcome everyone to come together and mark Remembrance Sunday once again in Havering. It gives the borough a chance to remember our servicemen and servicewomen from Britain and the Commonwealth, who gave so much to keep us safe.”

This year also marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day and VJ Day, celebrating eight decades of peace since the end of World War II.
“We are proud to stand as a community to honour the bravery and sacrifices of our Armed Forces,” added the Mayor.
