Inquest Opens Into Death Of Hornchurch Mum.
An inquest has opened into the death of Agnė Druskiene, a 40-year-old mother who was found dead at her home in Hornchurch.
Police and paramedics were called to Cranham Road shortly after 1am on October 18, where Agnė was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Her husband, Augustinas Druskis, has since been charged with her murder.
At a short hearing held at East London Coroner’s Court yesterday, Monday, October 27, coroner’s officer Jean Smyth confirmed that a post-mortem examination gave a provisional cause of death as blunt force trauma to the torso.
She told the court that Agnė worked as a production operative.
Area Coroner Nadia Persaud said there was reason to suspect an unnatural or violent death and that an inquest therefore had to be formally opened.
She explained to Agnė’s daughter, Evita, who attended the hearing via video link, that criminal proceedings would take priority and that a decision on a full inquest would be made once those proceedings are complete.
