Firefighters from Hornchurch and Romford have rescued multiple animals following a fire in a flat in Romford.

The fire broke out at a flat on Ringwood House, Kings Lyne Drive, at 12pm today. Firefighters rushed to scene and rescued 12 cats, two dogs and two tortoises from the flat. It is believed the owner of the flat was not at the property.

Well done to our fantastic firefighters whose quick response has saved the lives of these animals.
