Breaking: Man’s Body Found In Rainham.

The body of a man has been discovered in Launders Lane, Rainham.

Metropolitan Police officers made the tragic discovery during proactive searches at around 8:20am on Saturday, 18 October.

The search followed contact from Essex Police on Friday, 16 October, in relation to a missing person they had been investigating. The case was handed over to the Met the following day.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say enquiries are now underway to identify the man and inform his next of kin.

Launders Lane remains closed in both directions between Lamb’s Lane and Wennington Road while officers continue their investigation, and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
