A respected Romford resident and local campaigner has been left shocked and appalled after his home and car were attacked while his wife and daughter were inside the property.

Local campaigner Ajay, who lives in Crow Lane, is well known in the community for his tireless efforts supporting local issues and helping residents. But yesterday evening, just after 6pm, his family home became the scene of a terrifying attack.

Windows on both his car and his house were smashed, sending glass flying across the property as his disabled wife, who is recovering from an operation, and their daughter were inside.

“I am angry and appalled at what happened,” Ajay told The Havering Daily. “I wasn’t scared, but my wife and daughter who were having dinner at the time, panicked. I rushed outside straight away, but the man had gone.”

The shocking incident, which was caught on CCTV, shows the moment the windows were smashed before the suspect fled the scene. The footage has now been passed to police, who are investigating.

Friends and neighbours have expressed outrage at the attack, describing Ajay as “a pillar of the community” who has “always stood up for local people.”

This brutal and senseless act has left Ajay and his family deeply shaken and fearful in their own home.

CCTV footage of the incident.
