Beam Park Ticket Station Now Approved.
A Victory for Local Residents and Regeneration
Beam Park Labour Councillors Matthew Stanton and Trevor McKeever are pleased to announce that the planning application for the ticket office at Beam Park Station has officially been approved — a major milestone in the long-awaited delivery of this vital transport link.
This decision marks a significant step toward full, formal approval of the station itself, expected in the coming months. It follows years of consistent pressure from local residents, the Beam Park councillors, and the dedicated support of Margaret Mullane MP and her predecessor Jon Cruddas MP.
Councillor Stanton told the Havering Daily:
“This is a fantastic outcome for Beam Park and its growing community. The approval of the ticket office is more than just bricks and mortar—it’s about investing in people, connectivity, and opportunity. We’re working towards a new community that works for everyone, and this decision brings us one step closer to that vision.”
The station has long been anticipated by residents and local businesses and is set to play a key role in supporting sustainable travel, economic growth, andhousing delivery in the area.
Councillor McKeever added:
“Regeneration in the area stalled because the previous government had no ambition for change and growth. We have families crying out for more homes, and getting the station built will give confidence to the Council and housing associations who are waiting to submit further plans.”
The councillors also emphasised the importance of continued investment in infrastructure across new developments. With Beam Park already set to include a health centre, primary school, and now a railway station, they are calling for future projects to build on this momentum and further enhance the local area.
With planning now approved, the next phase will focus on delivering the ticket office as part of the broader station infrastructure. Updates will be shared with residents as progress continues.
